Can-Am Weekend Wrap — Kyle Evans Wins the 2026 Finale

The Trail Tire Alberta Extreme Sprints Can-Am series concluded over two nights of racing at Rad Torque Raceway, with 13–14 car fields mixing local competitors and Montana invaders.

Night One started roughly 70 minutes late thanks to rain, but once the track went green, Montana’s Ian Myers was untouchable. After winning Heat Two, Myers found the fastest route — the cushion up top — and immediately checked out, leading every single lap of the feature. Kyle Evans won Heat One but spun early in the main, recovering to finish fifth. Trevor Kirkland, Decklyn Fleming, and Johnny Wiersma rounded out the night’s top four.

Night Two served up a dusty, challenging surface — and a caution-free 30-lap finale. Evans and Kirkland went toe to toe for the win, with Evans expertly using a slower car as a pick to put distance on Kirkland in traffic. Evans took the checkers ahead of Kirkland and Myers to clinch the series.

Final Can-Am podium: 1. Ian Myers (290), 2. Trevor Kirkland (290), 3. Kyle Evans (280). Full points are on the Points page.
